This was a really good event, much bigger than the last time. There were 297 craft on the water with mostly two persons per craft, but three in canoes was not uncommon, and there were three coracles, a couple of row boats and a handful of home made craft ranging from canoes made of a wooden frame with a tarp covering (some more successful than others) to a splendid square boat which was rowed. The weather was good on Saturday, and was rounded off by a spledid campfire in the evening, with some really good impromptu performances. We had to pull out at the lunch stop on Sunday as Barbara had blisters, and we were both cold from the wading we had to do as the water levels were too low to float the canoes in places. But overall a brilliant event!
