White Water Trips

Isis Canoe Club takes part in a variety of white water trips, both in kayaks and open canoes. While often attending organised trips by groups such as the Open Canoe Association, we also arrange our own club trips to rivers such as our annual trips to the rivers Tryweryn, Dart, Dee, and Usk.

These trips are an excellent way for the white water enthusiasts to have some fun and improve their skills while visiting different parts of the country, they are also a good platform for our 3* students to get some practice before taking their assessment. Provided you are of the required standard we always welcome new people to join us on trips.

In addition to river trips we also regularly visit Holme Pierrepont, The National Watersports Centre, a man-made white water course near Nottingham. We practice eddying in and out, ferry gliding, descending drops and playing in waves.
