Training 2025
If you're interested in learning to paddle a Kayak or an Open Canoe, we're the place for you!
We're still finalising some of the details of our 2025 courses, but they will run through June and early July - we will be offering 2-day weekend courses and weekday evening courses across 5 weeks.
Once we have dates and times confirmed, we'll put details on this page.
All our training is led by fully qualified Paddle UK volunteer coaches, and equipment is provided.

Everyone on the courses will need to sign up as a member - you can find more details about that on the membership page.
Once you've done the courses, you'll be able to come on paddles with the club - be that local or further afield - as well as have the skills and confidence to take advantage of other paddling opportunities.
Please Note
- All training starts promptly at 6:30pm and ends at approximately 8:30pm. We recommend arriving by 6pm to ensure you are fitted for your boat and kit in time for the start of the session.
- After the training dates below there is the opportunity to sign up to continuation training for touring and white water.
- Ensure you are able to attend each weeks session for your chosen course before booking.
